Introducing: Lauren Jarvis

Growing up in a small coastal town in southern British Columbia, Lauren spent her weekends exploring the rugged shoreline and discovering storied objects in fine antique shops. Here she developed an early love for both the raw and the refined—an aesthetic that continues to inspire her design work to this day.

Lauren’s deep connection to the coast inspired her interest in marine biology. After years of studying the natural world, she pursued her passion for design, graduating with distinction from the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Interior Design Program. She brings a unique blend of scientific insight, and creative vision to her work. Her deep understanding of the natural world informs her commitment to sustainable design, allowing her to craft interiors that are not only beautiful and functional but also environmentally responsible.

As the founder and principal designer of Fair Oaks Studio, Lauren seeks to create spaces that are both sophisticated and grounded in authenticity. She ensures that every design not only looks beautiful but also supports the rhythms of daily living. Whether she's curating a gallery wall, renovating a historic home, or crafting new-build construction, each project feels luxurious yet lived-in, timeless yet personal—where the marks of time and imperfections of nature are embraced.
